I've been on whale watching boats before and seen these magnificent creatures but never would have believed how truly big they really are until seeing them next to a diver! This particular whale passed in front of me, turned to the videographer and returned to me afterwards to pass by and continue on with it's calf. Yes this was a friendly gesture I believe.
